Lost in the Grand Canyon
Manuscripts
This computer-generated manuscript, entitled "Lost in the Grand Canyon," documents an August 1956 raft trip through the Grand Canyon taken by Neal Newby, the author, and his friend Francis "Frank" Moltzen. The trip was taken for personal recreation but was more difficult than the two men imagined. The text is accompanied by seventeen color photographs with captions and photocopies of correspondence by notable river-runner Otis "Dock" Marston. There is also a CD bearing a reproduction of an audio tape made by Neal Newby in 1956.
