There is also a recipe for dim sums; the uniquely Melbourne version of a Cantonese siu mai dumpling. Geechoun was the son of Chinese market-gardeners in the Victorian city of Bendigo, who went on to become an importer, parliamentarian, and owner of the Kowlon restaurant in South Yarra.
