Two broadsides and three smaller posters – calligraphic poem probably in Berger's hand – in Old English. Entitled "A Trewe Indyctment" . Signed "… inscribed by his scrivener St. de Bergere, Xmas 1373". Probably a parody poem by Berger. Poster "From the realms of glory…" depicting portraits of the Clever family Four posters for program "Craftsman of Music" at The Oakland Museum, October 15, 1971.     Materials related to Dana Gioia's work as a poet, essayist, and editor as well as his roles as Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and Poet Laureate of California. The Writings series is divided into Poetry, Other Writings, and Publications, and includes drafts, galleys, published versions, and reprints of Gioia's poems, essays, and other writings, as well as notes, correspondence, reviews, and other related documents. The Professional series includes materials related to Gioia's work with the NEA, including documentation of his NEA nomination and confirmation; his congressional testimony; reports; publicity; and working documents and correspondence related to NEA programs such as The Big Read, Poetry Out Loud, NEA Jazz Masters, and others. There is also correspondence, press coverage, a scrapbook, and other documentation of Gioia's tenure as California Poet Laureate; and materials related to his 2007 Stanford University commencement address, including drafts of the speech, responses, and reprints. The Correspondence series is comprised primarily of Gioia's letter and email correspondence with other poets, publishers, and scholars, and also includes some biographical and other material related to each correspondent. The Broadsides and posters series includes poetry broadsides authored by Dana Gioia and others, and a few posters related to Gioia's poetry.

    The collection consists of letters and telegrams from Sir Henry Irving to Clement Scott, the drama critic of London's Daily Telegraph. The collection also contains a small number of manuscripts, two cabinet photographs of Irving, playbills, programs of official dinners and events, printed material, and ephemera.

    The majority of the collection deals with Vaughan's trip to the Orient (chiefly Japan, India and Indonesia) with Ruth St. Denis, Ted Shawn and the Denishawn Dancers in 1925. Boxes 1 and 2 contain the following kind of material: Clifford Vaughan's music notebooks, photographs, postcards, booklets, maps, programs and ephemera all regarding the trip (much of the material is in Japanese). Also included is some ephemera about Clifford Vaughan (a biography of Vaughan, written after his death, and order forms for his music on CDs) and the Denishawn Dancers, mostly clippings, several publications owned by Vaughan, probably purchased during the trip, as well as programs for the Denishawn Dancers and a Tribute to Ruth St. Denis and Ted Shawn by "H. H." Box 1 also contains a folder of modern letters regarding the Denishawn Dancers and their history; these are between Jane Sherman Lehac, Margaret Vaughan Meyer, and Michelle Mathesius.
