Five of the items are Christmas cards from the owners and the press, decorated with wood-cut illustrations. Some of the items are printed in two colors. Includes a folder of page samples from various Gregynog Press publications, some in color.

    Rampant Lions Press ephemera, 1975-1988

    Collection of prospectuses and book lists from 1967 to 1985, various ephemeral items of news and events at Rampant Lions Press, programmes and invitations printed for local events and celebrations, Christmas cards, sample pages, and examples of "job" printing done by the Press (e.g. change of address card), and a few proof sheets. The earliest piece dates from 1955, the latest 1990, but the bulk of the collection is from 1975-1988.

    [Collection of prospectuses for early 19th century English books]

    Contains covers and/or title pages, some with title vignettes, and specimen pages for 7 English publications dating from 1807 to 1831. The prospectuses/dummies are bound together in marbled-paper boards with red leather spine and corners. Publishers' whose work is represented include: John Sharpe, Piccadilly; Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, and Green; Charles Tilt, 86 Fleet Street and Longman, Hurst, Rees, and Orme. Sample illustrations are included with some of the specimen pages.

    Grabhorn Press ephemera. [4] leaves of proofs for a project which was cancelled, with ms. editorial marks and a note by Francis Farquhar explaining the project dated 1939. Printed broadside in red and black, announcing the 60th birthday of Robert Grabhorn, dated May 7, 1960, with ms. sales notes on verso.

    The collection contains twenty-seven binders of research materials about the Golden Cockerel Press accumulated by Roderick Cave for the book History of the Golden Cockerel Press. The binders contain a detailed bibliography of the publications of the Press including photographs of bindings, facsimile pages, publication costs, income & other information from the Press files. There is extensive correspondence and transcripts of interviews with Christopher Sandford, Owen Rutter and other authors and artists connected with the Press as well as prospectuses, press cuttings, photographs and other ephemera relating to the Golden Cockerel Press, its authors and illustrators.
