- Portfolio of views of Yellowstone National Park by Thomas Moran, printed by Louis Prang, the greatest color-printer of his day, considered to be a masterpiece of chromolithography and one of the greatest American color plate books of landscape scenery.

- The sketches were made by Moran during F.V. Hayden's expedition to northwestern Wyoming in 1871 to survey what would become Yellowstone National Park. The views were printed on card using numerous lithographic stones to give incredible depth of color and re-create the appearance of the original watercolors (information from Donald Heald Rare Books website, which includes images of the prints).
