Sheet was originally a pastedown in a work owned by John Wekes (RB 495458 has inscription by Wekes dated 1556). Book possibly then owned by Thomas Weelkes and his family. Manuscript annotations in the hand of John King, Bishop of London. Book was owned by Dean and Chapter of Chichester Cathedral until Sotheby sale, 24 Nov. 1947:35. Bought by Raphael King and sold by him to Lord Kenyon. Armorial bookplate of Lord Kenyon on inside of front flap of folder. Correspondence and bibliographical information on the indulgences by Lord Kenyon, Raphael King and others, along with microfiche of STC 14077c.39 and 14077.40, removed to a Provenance File.
