Rare Books
A collection of 15 miniature volumes of short stories for children by Thornton W. Burgess. The volumes are in printed paper covers, with color ilustratated titles on front. Several have additional color illustrations. The rear covers have an advertisement for Packard Pianos on with a small blank space at bottom. The majority of the volumes have a sticker for Pickard's Piano Parlor, Marshalltown, Iowa in the blank. Many are illustrated by Harrison Cady. The six volumes published in 1914 are copyrighted by J.N. Cole Jr. and the Winthrop Press, New York. The remainder are copyrighted by John H. Eggers, New York.
