Consists of an carbon copy, typewritten judicial opinion by Judge James Wickersham of the Third Division of the U.S. District Court, Fairbanks, Alaska. The Plantiff, a proprietor of a Fairbanks hotel lost money to the defendant running a dice game and sought to reclaim his loses through the court, claiming non compos mentis due to inebriation. Also includes a one page typewritten biography by the Committee for the James Wickersham Centenary Commemorative Stamp, a commemorative envelope for the Wickersam Centennial addressed to Jane Igau of Juneau, and a photograph of James Wickersham used for the commemerative envelope.
