Other subjects represented in the collection include: civil engineering, land subdivision, mines and mineral resources, and daily life in Los Angeles and Los Angeles County.

The Ramon and Francisco de Haro referred to are most likely the twin sons of another Francisco de Haro, the first Alcade (mayor) of Yerba Buena (San Francisco).
