Visual Materials
Collection of photographs chiefly documenting various gatherings of the Los Angeles Corral of Westerners, from the late 1950s to the 1980s, as well as some photographs of group and individual portraits of Zamorano Club members. The images chiefly consist of shots of members, including historians, book collectors and sellers, and history enthusiasts, attending functions, and many include handwritten captions identifying the individuals on the verso. The collection was compiled by Everett Hager, and there are also 33 photographs of or related to Hager, and some additional newspaper clippings and pieces of ephemera. Depicted individuals include Earl Adams, L. Burr Belden, Ray Allen Billington, Percy Bonebrake, Loring Campbell, John Caughey, Iron Eyes Cody, Glen Dawson, John Anson Ford, George E. Fullerton, Harold Jones, John Haskell Kemble, Don Meadows, Allan Nevins, Doyce Nunis, Lawrence Clark Powell, Martin Ridge, W.W. Robinson, Art Woodward, Robert J. Woods, and others. The earliest item appears to be a 1948 photograph of bookseller Glen Dawson.
