The manuscript and printed material includes a memoir, a diary, an autobiography, and printed volumes. Jeannette G. W. Kelsey created a memoir upon the death of her close friend Julia Clara Pitt Byrne, a British author and a fixture of British and Continental society. The two-volume memoir was written from 1893 to 1925, to create a record of their friendship and includes autograph text and copies of letters, laid in letters, photographs, and printed material. The 1921 diary was kept by Jeannette G. W. Kelsey during the last year of her husband, Albert Warren Kelsey's life. The printed material includes an autobiography of Albert Warren Kelsey (1911), genealogical volumes, novels by Bessie Rayner Parkes and Marie Belloc Lowndes, a Masonic publication, and a book of publications for the University of Wisconsin Washburn Observatory.
