The papers of former Los Angeles County district attorney Gil Garcetti (1941-) includes mainly records that document his managerial and campaign activities in the nation's largest local prosecutorial office. The bulk of the papers contain administrative files created during Garcetti's tenure as district attorney from 1992 to 2000. These files consist of correspondence, budget, statistics, speeches, notes, press releases, schedule and calendars, recommendations, reports, and photographs. Many of these documents reflect Garcetti's focus on prosecution of domestic violence, fraud, gang violence, and child-support violations, as well as on crime prevention initiatives, such as Strategy Against Gang Environments program (SAGE) and SAFE WAY OUT family violence hotline. Another significant part of the Garcetti papers is his campaign files from the Los Angeles County district attorney elections in 1992, 1996, and 2000, which include bills, research, polls, debate notes, ephemera, and press clippings. The papers also contain case files, DDA interview notes, and reports from 1984 to 1991, during which Garcetti served as district attorney Ira Reiner's chief deputy and subsequently head deputy of the Torrance branch. The rest of the papers include audiovisual materials, awards, and memorabilia.

The Eugene Swarzwald Pictorial California and the Pacific Collection consists of 9,674 black and white photographs, negatives, a photograph album, magazine mock-ups, letters, and ephemera, dated 1909-ca. 1968. Eugene Swarzwald and the Swarzwald family collected the material for use in the magazine "Pictorial California and the Pacific." Images depict California and the West with some coverage of the rest of the United States and international destinations. The collection contains photographs depicting general city views of communities in California, scenic views of wilderness areas, images of parks, schools and universities, museums, and points of historic interest (including California mining towns and missions). The collection is strong in subjects related to leisure and social and recreational activities. Many of the photographs are by the Keystone Photo Service. Other photographers include Chuck Abbott, Adelbert Bartlett, Lionel T. Berryhill, Lil and Al Bloom, Hal Boucher, Campbell-Ricco-Mazzuchi Photography, Caroll Photo Service, Garth Chandler, Walter J. The Southern California Edison Records consist of materials created, maintained, and collected by the company. The Southern California Edison Records contain books, catalogs, correspondence, journals, ledgers, log books, meeting minutes, newsletters, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, photographs, press releases, reports, scrapbooks, and other materials documenting the history of the Southern California Edison (SCE) Company. The records cover the years 1848 to 1989 with the bulk of the material ranging from 1911 to 1965. The material is largely textual with the exception of a few non-paper items scattered throughout.
