This book-length painting book contains watercolors, a small palette and paintbrush, all of which folds into a box on the inside front cover. Unnumbered pages of both chromolithograph and lithograph images for coloring comprise the rest of the book. Text in the form of rhymes and poetry accompany most images. The front cover is a chromolithograph image of a boy and a girl painting with two such painting books. Within the body of illustrations, there are several containing racial slurs. The last page is a publisher's advertisement for these and similar painting books. Many of the lithograph images have been colored in with the paints provided. "Patented in United States, Nov. 12, 1907" and "Patented in Great Britain, Dec. 10, 1907" are printed at the bottom of the front cover.
