A "classic work on the meninges and ventricles by the associates Retzius and Key, who were members of the Caroline Institute. They began their researchers on the membranes and cavities of the nervous system in 1869 ... 'They affirmed though injection experiments and dissection the existence of the foramina of Magendie (discovered in 1825) and Luschka (1859), and present the view that the cerebrospinal fluid escapes from the subarachnoid space through the Pacchionian bodies into the subdural space, then in the venous sinuses, and that some of it reached the cervical lymphatics'." -- Zeitlin & Ver Brugge Booksellers (with quotes form Dr. W. Haymaker's Founders of Neurology).
