Manuscripts
Manuscript map showing details of the coast of Nova Scotia. Shows "Capt. Lieut. Lewis's march with a party of rangers to Luneburg in Feby. 1755 and from thence" which gives the track from Halifax. Also shows the roads from Halifax to Fort Sackville and on to Pisquid, Capt. Floyer's route to the Basin of Mines, and the "Indian Path to the Lakes, by wich [sic] and the River Chebenacadie they go to Quebecq." Elias Meyer was a lieutenant in the Royal American Regiment from 1756 to 1762 and was primarily employed as a mapmaker. --See Kashnor. Museum Book Store, Catalog No. 93, no. 307.
