Manuscripts
The Manuscript series contains 20 journals written by George E. Farrand from 1915 to 1954 as well as two printed publications. The journals include daily entries regarding his law practice, the weather, his weight, as well as details regarding family matters and world events, such as the Great Depression, the bombing of Pearl Harbor, World War II and the start of the Cold War. At the end of most of the journals, he includes a brief summary of his year, including personal, business and world events. The later journals also include numerous news clippings. The Correspondence series is arranged alphabetically by author and predominantly contains letters related to business transactions such as the merger of First National and Security Pacific Banks in Los Angeles and the Julian Petroleum scandal as well as personal correspondence amongst friends, acquaintances, and political allies, including Henry M. Robinson, George E. Farrand, Harry Chandler, George E. Hale, Lou Henry Hoover, Herbert Hoover (many through Hoover's assistants, including Lawrence Richey and Paul Sexson), and Alonzo Englebert Taylor. The Ephemera series is arranged alphabetically by subject and then chronologically within each folder. It contains separate folders for biographical and genealogical materials, cards, empty envelopes, event programs, indices and disposition of the files of Henry M. Robinson, judicial opinions, law school examination, legal documents and research memoranda, miscellaneous office documents, newspaper clippings, notes and minutes from meetings, pamphlets and printed statements, photographs, receipts, securities issues and offering materials, Senate hearings transcripts, speeches and statements of assets and "C" memoranda. The detailed indices of Henry M. Robinson's files indicate the status of his files upon his death and the disposition of those materials by his brother and George E. Farrand.

Manuscripts
There are 8,002 pieces of manuscripts, 6,044 of which are by Annie C. Bill. The manuscripts comprise of articles, drafts, essays, excerpts, notebooks, proofs, speeches, statements, and miscellaneous notes. There are 7,218 pieces of correspondence, 1,629 of which are by Annie C. Bill; most of her correspondence comprises of incomplete drafts of letters. The majority of the correspondence includes letters by her publisher, A.A. Beauchamp, Deputy Advisor, John V. Dittemore, officers, and students relating to her religious movement. There are 2,129 pieces of ephemera, the majority being related to Annie C. Bill. The first part of the ephemera is applications, brochures, fliers, and tracts that are arranged according to Bill's religious organization that she joined or led. The remaining ephemera consists of an appointment book, British Museum copyright receipts, Bill's British passport, calling cards, circular letters, empty envelopes, financial records, a greeting card, Kelly's Directors LTD., legal documents, miscellaneous ephemera, newspaper clippings, periodicals, photographs, postcards, and reprints.

Manuscripts
The manuscripts mainly consist of speeches or short pieces written by Gurdon Wallace Wattles regarding business practices, Nebraska, and his political views. It also includes scripts written by True Boardman. The majority of the correspondence is from Gurdon Wallace Wattles or addressed to him. These letters deal with his business matters in both Nebraska and California, family news and business, and there are many which describe the Wattles House and Gardens, especially the decorating of the Italian garden. There are also letters pertaining to the disposition of his will. Another set of letters describes Wattles' investment in a company which explored sound in film technology. The Ephemera section contains material relating to the Wattles family and their life in California. Among these materials are drawings for the Italian garden, weddings plans for the two daughters, membership cards, invitations to private and public events and photographs of the family on vacation and at the Wattles property. There are also materials related to the disposition of Wattles' will, some business papers and materials related to musicians the Wattles' supported. Participants include: Harry Chandler, Herbert Hoover, Henry Workman Keller, Robert Andrews Millikan, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Gurdon Wallace Wattles, Jr., and the Republican National Committee. Subjects in the collection include: Beverly Hills Hotel; Los Angeles history; Los Angeles gardens; Hollywood, California; Motion picture industry in New York; Hot Springs, South Dakota; Los Angeles Newspapers; Omaha, Nebraska; Universal City, California; Herbert Hoover; Henry Workman Keller; and Wattles Jr.'s correspondence from World War, 1939-1945.

The collection consists of 6202 black-and-white and color photographs, pen and ink drawings, and postcards, 1412 black-and-white and color negatives, 2606 black-and-white and color slides, and ephemeral materials, 1898-1982 (bulk 1920s-1930s) collected by the Automobile Club of Southern California. They form a general photographic reference collection as well as a broad visual survey of topics of interest to California motorists. Included are images of sites in North and Central America (with an emphasis on California), Europe, the Pacific Islands, and portraits, as well as images related to other subjects of interest to the Club's membership. Many of the images were published as illustrations for articles in the Club's first member magazine, Touring Topics. A large portion of the photographs were taken by authors of articles that appeared in Touring Topics; others were commissioned by the Club; and others appear to have been sent to the Club. Photographers (and authors) include, but are not limited to, Ansel Adams, Fred Archer, Viroque Baker, George Hugh Banning, Adelbert Bartlett, Virginia S. Bartlett, Andrew R.
