Drawing Teacher
Visual Materials
One boxed set of paper stencils entitled Drawing Teacher, manufactured by Parker Brothers, Salem, Massachusetts, ca. 1895. The set is comprised of 10 paper stencils which include images of animals, people, and buildings. Also included are two printed sheets of paper, one a set of instructions for the stencils, the other a manufacturer's illustrated advertisement for several board games. The set is housed within a paperboard box that has a color illustrated paper label mounted to the top lid. The image is of a girl holding a stencil in one hand and a completed picture in the other. "John S. Blood" is stamped, in ink, in the upper left-hand corner of the top stencil. The stencils are housed separately from the box. "Lucy Pinkham, East Steuben, ME Dec. 25, 1899." is written in ms., in pencil, twice, on the underside of the box bottom.
