They show the progression of events that occurred when news reached people about the discovery of gold in Frazer. The scenes on the right side show the harsh realities of the mining experience. In the center of the image to the right of the thermometer is the text of a poem called "The Bubble Bursted," which is about the ups and downs of a prospective miner's life.
