The correspondence focuses on business dealings (including references to the Union Pacific Railroad and Utah Southern Line) and accounts. Recipients include Brigham Young, George Q. Cannon, Joseph W. Young, and Parley P. Pratt. A September 23, 1865, letter sent from Salt Lake City notes "Our City Council has prohibited the sale of all liquor within the City limits."
