A view of the north porch of the Palace of Fine Arts at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. There are about fifteen steps leading up to the large neoclassical entrance, a porch with four tall pillars and a triangular pediment. This is the side of the building that did not face out over the north pond, and features a reproduction of the statue of Augustus of Prima Porta (or Primaporta). There are numerous people sitting in chairs in front of the building or on the porch steps.

There are about fifteen steps leading up to the large neoclassical entrance, a porch with four tall pillars, a triangular pediment, and a large dome. There are a few people walking between the building and the water, and about four gondolas docked in near the bottom of the porch steps. A pair of ducks, one white and one dark, are swimming in the foreground.
