Provides instructions and guidance for various tasks at the Hermitage including sales of cotton crop and stock, use of stud colt, and the need for housing for fowl and stables. Jackson also mentions the illness of Sampson, an enslaved laborer at the Hermitage, and others (text damaged). Discusses financial details on purchase of land from Alexander. Jackson expresses his gratification that the tomb for Rachel Jackson is complete. Item is slightly damaged, some text missing.
