Trees

The Huntington’s plant collections include roughly 800 tree species that range from such iconic California natives as the Coast Live Oak and the Western Sycamore to representatives of habitats from around the world. Some are uncommon in garden settings, while others may be popular in cultivation but are notable as outstanding individual specimens. Each has an intriguing natural and cultural history, and all form a part of The Huntington’s living botanical legacy. The trees featured here are some of our most significant historical plantings as well as exceptional examples of their species.
