Orchids

Arabella Huntington assembled one of the finest private orchid collections of her time. Today, The Huntington houses one of the largest orchid collections in the United States, featuring more than 3,600 unique varieties representing 280 genera. These and other tropical plants are maintained in three off-view greenhouses and one public conservatory. The orchids shown on this page are just a small sampling of the incredibly diverse collection of species and hybrid orchids in our care, many of which are displayed on a rotating basis in The Rose Hills Foundation Conservatory for Botanical Science.
