Restore + Explore: Tai Chi

Guided by instructor Kathy Chyan, participants will discover pathways to restore emotional and physical well-being through a series of physical exercises and stretches.
Chyan is a retired art professor with a B.A. in Chinese art, an M.A. in Western art, and an MFA in ceramic sculpture. She studied Tai Chi Chuan/Taijiquan and Qigong in private groups as a teenager. Later, she studied tai chi at Beijing Sport University and at Chen Village in Henan province, where Tai Chi Chuan originated. Chyan has taught tai chi for over 30 years at community colleges and at The Huntington since 2008.
