Join Nova Community Arts to learn about the science and history of cyanotypes and sun prints, while learning the best techniques for printing on paper and cloth to create beautiful prints. Participants will create three different sun prints: a paper print, a fabric print, and a printed mini tote.
Nova Community Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art studio in Los Angeles dedicated to serving underfunded populations in Los Angeles and providing inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities by offering art classes, workshops, open studio access, and guest programming.
Key Details
- Registration includes free admission to The Huntington after the end of each program.
- Suitable for all levels; no previous experience is necessary.
- This class is open to teens and adults. Registered participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult with a class ticket.
- All supplies and materials are included.
- Participants are welcome to bring their own small objects or shapes to use for printing.
- Please bring registration confirmation with you.
- Check in with Education staff at Admission window #9 at 9:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m., depending on class time.
In-Person Class Ticketing Policies
- Tickets are not sold at the door for this event.
- To join the waitlist for this event, please email notify the Public Programs team. A space is not guaranteed, but you will be contacted if a space becomes available.
- To receive a refund or request a reservation change, you must contact the Public Programs team at least five days prior to the event date. Cancellations made within five days of the event date will not be refunded, and reservation changes are not guaranteed. Tickets are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged for vouchers or future credit.
- Members may receive a discount for up to two tickets when applicable.
