MUSE/IQUE returns to The Huntington with “Bernstein at Heart” and tells the story of how composer Leonard Bernstein’s famed telecast “Young People’s Concerts” became a blueprint for learning and a lesson in the power of knowledge, which still resonates today.

Leonard Bernstein’s groundbreaking educational series “Young People’s Concerts” with the New York Philharmonic was delivered to audiences worldwide via television, and it was the longest-running series of family-friendly classical music concerts. His performances inspired generations of musicians and music lovers. Inspired by Bernstein—who happens to be MUSE/IQUE’s artistic and music director Rachael Worby’s idol—“Bernstein at Heart” shares how these famed telecasts became a blueprint for learning and a lesson in the power of knowledge, which still resonates today.
