You’ve struck gold at The Huntington! From maps to photographs and documents, discover The Huntington’s breadth of primary sources on California history. Led by Bill Deverell, founding director of the Huntington-USC Institute on California and the West, this workshop will focus on ways you can incorporate Los Angeles–related primary sources into your California history curriculum.

- This is a full-day workshop for K–12 educators only.
- Comfortable shoes are recommended as a portion of the workshop involves standing and walking on wood and concrete paths.

10 a.m. Check in and walk to classroom
10:15 a.m. Workshop begins and introductions
10:45 a.m. California and Los Angeles history lesson
Noon Lunch with peers
12:45 p.m. Primary source classroom application
2:30 p.m. Classroom reflection
