Make your own custom embroidered design on a cotton handkerchief, inspired by the flowers and greenery in The Huntington’s gardens.
Classes
Join Nova Community Arts, an LA-based nonprofit art studio, to learn the basics of embroidery in this hands-on, floral-inspired workshop. In this two-hour class, participants will learn and practice several versatile embroidery stitches, pattern drafting and transferring, setting up thread, and preparing an embroidery hoop.
Key Details
- Registration includes admission to The Huntington.
- Suitable for all levels; no previous experience is necessary.
- This class is recommended for teens and adults. Teens under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- All supplies and materials are included. A cotton bandana will be provided, but you may also bring a plain, lightweight cotton item—such as a T-shirt, tote bag, or jacket—to embroider.
- Please bring registration confirmation with you.
- Check in with Education staff at Admission window #10 at 9:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.

- Tickets are not sold at the door for this event.
- To join the waitlist for this event, please email publicprograms@huntington.org. A space is not guaranteed, but you will be contacted if a space becomes available.
- To receive a refund, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to the event. Cancellations made within 5 days of the event will not be refunded.
- Members may receive a discount for up to two tickets.
