Edmund de Waal is an artist who writes. His yearlong exhibition "the eight directions of the wind" unfolds across three locations at The Huntington: the Art Gallery, the Chinese Garden, and the Japanese Garden. De Waal presents a series of new site-specific installations exploring memory, cultural exchange, and the movement of ideas through porcelain and place.
Join the artist for an illuminating lecture followed by a conversation with Christina Nielsen, Hannah and Russel Kully Director of the Art Museum, and curator Robert Hori, about de Waal's art, writing, and work with The Huntington.
