Education and Visitor Center, Steven’s Classroom
Participants will learn about color harmony, value relationships, and the feeling of atmosphere—using a variety of photo references in a supportive and creative environment for painters of all levels. The instructor, teaching artist Robert Sherrill, will demonstrate various techniques and guide participants in developing an artistic voice and creating expressive landscapes.

Supplies and Materials
The following items can be purchased at your local art supply store or online at dickblick.com, cheapjoes.com, jerrysartarama.com, or amazon.com.
- Watercolor Paints: Professional or student-grade set (tubes or pans) with essential colors (cadmium red, magenta, ultramarine blue, Prussian blue, cadmium lemon yellow, cadmium yellow, and any other colors you wish)
- Watercolor Paper: Cold-press, 140 lb. (300 gsm), 9" x 12" block or pad or larger (e.g., Arches)
- Brushes: BHA Liner Brush Made by Master Xu and any other you like
- Palette: Plastic or ceramic mixing wells
- Watercolor Board or Tape: To secure paper
- Pencils and Erasers: 2B pencil and kneaded eraser for sketching
- Water Containers: Jars or cups
- Paper Towels or Rags: For blotting and cleanup
- Optional: Masking fluid, sponge, and a spray bottle for effects

- Tickets are not sold at the door for this event.

- To receive a refund, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to the event. Cancellations made within 5 days of the event will not be refunded.
