Bookbinding Workshop

In this hands-on bookmaking workshop, participants draw inspiration from The Huntington’s Library collections as they make their accordion-style artist book. Learn the basics of bookbinding using specialized tools and supplies to cut, wrap, and construct your books. You will leave with a finished accordion book, ready to fill with drawings, poetry, or any inspiration that comes to mind!
Key Details
- All supplies and materials are included.
- This class is great for teens and adults; no previous experience necessary.
- Teens under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Registration includes free admission to The Huntington after the class.
Day of Program
- Check in with Education staff at Admission window #10 at 9:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m.
- Comfortable shoes are recommended for the walk to the galleries.

About the Instructors
Nova Community Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art studio in Los Angeles that offers art classes, workshops, open studio access, and guest programming. Located in Atwater Village, Nova is committed to providing arts education, access to materials and equipment, and a platform of creative expression for the community, including students, professionals, and amateurs. The art studio is dedicated to serving underfunded populations in Los Angeles and providing inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities.

- To receive a refund, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to the event. Cancellations made within 5 days of the event will not be refunded.
- Members may receive a discount for up to two tickets.
