Boone Art Gallery
Ever wanted to make your own animation? Explore the art and science behind animation and make your own thaumatrope, an optical illusion toy, with superstar scientist and animator, Pablo Aguirre. Learn how the eye perceives movement in the process of animation and how to give an inanimate object an expression to make it come alive.
Activities are held outside of the Boone Gallery, the temporary home of the internationally traveling exhibition “Inspiring Walt Disney: The Animation of French Decorative Arts.” Visitors can design a mini flipbook or sculpt something inspired by the collection.
