Alice Tsay is the Director of Special Projects and Institutional Planning at The Huntington, where she works with President Karen R. Lawrence and the senior leadership team to implement presidential and institutional initiatives such as strategic planning; diversity, equity, and inclusion; external and internal collaborations; and the President’s public programs. She also serves as the primary staff liaison to the Board of Trustees. She received her Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan and also holds degrees from Oxford University and Amherst College. She has written and presented on topics including the circulation of Anglo-American patent medicines in China, figurines of John Milton and Shakespeare, crustaceans in the Victorian imagination, and travel writing from the Early Modern period through the present day.
