Annual Spring Plant Sale
Give your garden a fresh look for spring! Inspiring ideas and thousands of great plants abound at The Huntington's popular annual sale.
One of the highlights at this year's sale is the beautiful new floribunda rose, 'Huntington's 100th'. Developed by hybridizer Tom Carruth, the E. L. and Ruth B. Shannon Curator of the Rose Collections, this incredibly fragrant variety was introduced to commemorate the institution's upcoming centennial, which gets underway in September.
Other plants available include many water-wise Southwestern, native Californian, and Australian plants—ceanothus, tecoma, manzanita, and westrigia, among others—that will bring abundant color and texture to your garden without using a lot of water. Cacti and succulents make a bold statement in the landscape, and there will be a wide variety to choose from. Shoppers will also find a great assortment of tomato plants (Julia Child, Chocolate Stripe, and Wild Tiger are three of our top sellers) vegetable seedlings, fruit trees, herbs, and other edibles—plus much more!
Members shop early: The sale is open to Members only on Friday (all day) and on Saturday until 1 p.m.; open to all visitors on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday (all day).
