Viewing Stones Online Show
The California Aiseki Kai presents its 31st annual show virtually this year (due to COVID restrictions) featuring outstanding examples of suiseki and other viewing stones. Practiced in Asia for centuries and gaining popularity around the world, the art of viewing stones invites contemplation of the subtle, often fanciful forms that have been shaped by nature, the elements, and time. In addition, the American Viewing Stone Resource Center presents two complementary virtual displays, "Let It Snow! Viewing Stones of Winter," and "The Magic of Mimetoliths: Animal Imagery in Stones," to introduce children of all ages to the appreciation and display of natural stones.
