10 a.m.–2 p.m. | Community Drop-in Making & Mending Space
Plants have the power to bring artists together. Let’s celebrate the maker in all of us! Do you have a favorite garment that could use some mending? Find inspiration and direction to transform your latest textile project for this drop-in maker’s space. Bring your favorite knitting needles and mending supplies and meet new friends. Practice the art of slow stitching and mend what you love with what you have. A limited amount of patches, thread, and yarn available while supplies last. Scott Gallery Loggia

11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. | Flax Spinning Demonstration with Kelly Fernandez and Anna Zinsmeister
Kelly Fernandez, head gardener of The Huntington's Herb and Shakespeare Gardens, and Anna Zinsmeister, Master Spinner and Weaver, demonstrate the process of turning flax into linen.
