Can I have a wedding and/or reception at The Huntington?

How much does it cost to have an event at The Huntington?
Pricing for Special Events at The Huntington varies and is based on the type of event, setup required, and hours booked. For more information, please visit Pricing, Vendors & Catering.
What hours can I hold an event at The Huntington?
Daytime events are typically be held between 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Wednesday–Monday. After hours events are typically held between 6–10 p.m. Monday–Sunday. Daytime events may only be held in indoor or private venues so as not to detract from the public’s enjoyment of the grounds.
Can I have music at my event?
Yes, though amplified sound of any kind is subject to specific decibel level requirements and speaker placement restrictions.
Can I bring in my own food for an event?
The Huntington requests the use of its onsite caterer, Estate Catering at The Huntington, for any event. Should you wish to have an exception made, additional fees and/or requirements may apply.
Can I bring in my own vendor?
The Huntington is a collections-based institution and requests the use of its preferred vendors for any third-party rentals to preserve our unique venue needs. Please see our preferred vendor list. Should you wish to have an exception made, additional fees and/or requirements may apply.
Is there a charge for parking?/How do guests get to the event site?
The Huntington has one main parking lot and it is free of charge. Most guests walk to their event site, though golf cart assistance is offered for an After Hours event as part of a staffing charge.
What is the policy on set up and strike time and how does that affect pricing?
The Huntington charges a flat Facility Use Fee for the agreed-upon, contracted hours of event time. Any access outside of those hours on the event date can be arranged at no charge, but is subject to availability and Special Events’ discretion. Should an event require set up or strike time beyond the event date, 25% of the Facility Use Fee will be charged per each additional set up and strike day.
What is the cancellation policy?
The Huntington requires a nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the Facility Use Fee prior to your event date. In the event of cancellation, this deposit will be forfeited.
What is the policy in the event of rain?
While many of our outdoor venues can be tented in the event of rain, you are ultimately responsible for planning your event accordingly.
