Tours
Tours are an ideal way to obtain more in-depth information about The Huntington. Trained docents provide tours suitable for a variety of visitors, including adults, K-12 school visitors, and tour groups. Free audio tours are also available for some exhibitions.
Group Tours
The Huntington offers Estate, Chinese garden, and Tea & Tours. Please note reservations are required at least one month in advance for all group tours.

Tea & Tour
Enjoy a private morning tour followed by English tea in the Huntington's Rose Garden Tea Room. Please note reservations are required at least one month in advance for Tea & Tours.

School Tours
The Huntington offers both guided and self-guided school tours. Guided school tours are provided during non-public, morning hours, and led by volunteer docent teachers, who guide the students in interactive explorations of the institution's treasures. Self-guided school tours are welcome during regular public hours.

Free Garden Tours
Free tours of the gardens are
available with general admission or membership. Tours are offered
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday between noon and 2 p.m., and
Saturday and Sunday between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Times vary
depending on volunteer availability; please check in at the Information
Desk on arrival for the day's schedule of garden tours. Sorry, free
tours cannot be reserved in advance. No tours available on Tuesdays and
Free Days.
Audio Tours
Audio tours are available for Liu Fang Yuan, the Garden of Flowing Fragrance, and for the newly renovated Huntington Art Gallery.
Liu Fang Yuan (the Chinese garden): This 42-minute walking tour has 16 stops which correspond with locations in the garden, and are also identified in the map of Liu Fang Yuan. The audio tour is free and downloadable to any MP3 player. (Visitors must provide their own MP3 player, and download the audio guide before visiting. MP3 players are not available at The Huntington.) Huntington Art Gallery: Two different audio tours are available at the entrance of the Huntington Art Gallery; a tour for adults focusing on the artwork, the history of the house, and the Huntingtons as collectors, and a tour for families with games to find details in paintings, sculptures and architecture. This audio tour is free. A hand-held audio device may be checked out at the entrance to the Huntington Art Gallery.
