The Fairchild Challenge
is a free contest for high school students that fosters interest in the environment by encouraging students to appreciate the beauty and value of nature, develop critical thinking skills, understand the need for biodiversity and conservation, tap community resources, become actively engaged citizens, and recognize that individuals do indeed make a difference.

How it Works
•  Complete any or all of the multidisciplinary competition challenges. Challenges can be classwork, homework, required or optional assignments, or extracurricular activities. Each entry earns points for your students and your school.

•  Submit your best work to the Huntington for final judging by an impartial panel of experts.

•  All schools that earn a minimum number of points are awarded prizes and recognition.  Students and schools with the most points at the end of the competition will receive special prizes and recognition.
