Transport yourself to the gardens of Venice in this summer evening program on the loggia of the Huntington Art Gallery. A lecture on 18th-century Venetian garden statuary will be given by Flaminia Gennari of the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, followed by a performance of Italian music by artists from LA Opera. Self-tour The Huntington’s own Italian garden statuary prior to the program and talk with Catherine Hess, chief curator of European art. Members: $45. Non-Members: $55. Registration: 626-405-2128.

Roger Medearis: His Regionalism
June 16–Sept. 17, 2012
American painter Roger Medearis is the focus of this exhibition including more than 30 paintings, prints, drawings, letters and photographs, tracing the artist’s career from his beginnings as a student of Thomas Hart Benton through the development of his own distinctive style.
