Echinopsis 'Beautiful Dreamer'
Flower fragrant,
star-like, to 5 ½ inches (14 cm) across. Inner petals acute, dark
apricot with light yellow basal stripe. Outer petals projecting beyond
inners and more sharply acute, light pinkish-purple. Filaments dark terra
cotta. Flowers fragrant. Stem semicolumnar, to 4 inches (9.5 cm) in diameter;
central spines to ¾ inch (19 mm) long; freely pupping. The name,
'Beautiful Dreamer' is from the song by Stephen Foster. ISI 97-4; HBG
