Echinopsis 'Allusion'
Flower fragrant,
to 4 ¾ inches (12 cm) across. Petals oblanceolate, in two whorls,
subequal, bright magenta to dark orange-red, with narrow pastel bronzy-orange
basal stripe and dark magenta midrib. Outer stamens fascicled, forming
a wide, interrupted ring, inner stamens completely encircling throat;
filaments dark brick-red. Throat-circle light orangish. Stigma dark green.
Stem semicolumnar, to 4 ½ inches (11 cm) in diameter; central
spines to 3/8 inch (11 mm) long. ISI 97-2; HBG 80588, Schick 586-11. |
