Imaging Services at The HuntingtonThe Huntington's Imaging Service Department is responsible for capturing images of rare books, manuscripts and works of art on digital and film mediums. It serves all divisions within the library, and works closely with researchers worldwide to provide images for both research and publication. Located in the Munger Research Center, the Imaging Services area has an open studio to accommodate large furniture and paintings. Flexible copy setups allow for projects to be tailored to the source materials. The modern post processing facilities support rapid project completion. The Huntington has a long history of photography, which began in the 1920s with the establishment of the Photographic Services Department. In 2004, the studio spaces were optimized and greatly expanded. Today Imaging Services offers an array of interrelated, professional components which include:
