Amorphophallus titanum: The Growth

To give Huntington visitors a chance to see the rare flower as it prepared to bloom, botanical staff members moved the Titan Arum from its greenhouse to the loggia of the Scott Gallery. Temperature and humidity were closely monitored, and daily measurements charted its rapid growth to an eventual height of 5 feet 8-1/2 inches. Many "virtual visitors" logged on to our website each day to follow the plant's progress.
