Echinopsis 'Scheherazade'  

Flower to 4-½ inches (11 cm) across. Petals broadly obovate, dark magenta with lighter margins. Throat-circle yellowish. Filaments dark magenta; outer stamens in a narrow ring. Stem columnar, to 3½ inches (9 cm) across; central spines to 1 inch (25 mm) long. 'Scheherazade' is one of the earliest Schick hybrids to flower each spring. ISI 98-12; HBG 81764, Schick 896-5.
