Echinopsis 'Riptide'  

Flower fragrant, to nearly 5 inches (12 cm) across. Inner petals obovate, ruffled, bicolored yellowish-amber and deep, rich yellow, with orange midrib, outer petals contrasting magenta with darker midrib. Throat-circle and filaments light yellow. Flowers fragrant. Stem columnar, to 3-½ inches (9 cm) in diameter; central spines to ¼ inch (5 mm) long. The name 'Riptide' refers to the inner stamens, which swirl as if swept by the tidal eddies on a rocky seashore. ISI 99-19; HBG 82631, Schick 918-14.
