Echinopsis 'Lemon Pie' Flower faintly fragrant, to nearly 5 inches (12.5 cm) across. Petals obovate, prominently aristate, translucent lemony yellow with faint green tint, midrib purer yellow. Throat-circle light yellow. Filaments yellow; anthers sterile; outer stamens densely arranged in compact narrow ring and inner stamens grouped in small bundles within flower tube. Stem globular, to 3-¾ (9.5 cm) in diameter; central spines to 7/8 inch (23 mm) long. ISI 2001-60; HBG 85608, Schick 1355-33. |
