Echinopsis 'La Sonrisa'  

Flower to 4 inches (10 cm) across. Petals obovate, gently recurved, bicolored, outer portion pastel magenta, dusky fuchsia or dark orange and inner portion dark bronzy-orange, midrib yellowish to orange. Outer petals paler than inners. Throat-circle yellow. Filaments dark orange to scarlet. Stem semicolumnar, to 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter; central spines to ½ inch (12 mm) long. 'La Sonrisa', means "smile" in Spanish, and refers to the crescent-shaped configuration of the inner stamens. ISI 97-16; HBG 80602, Schick 376-20.
