Echinopsis 'Hot Lips'  

Flower with a vaguely spicy aroma, to 4-¼ inches (10-½ cm) across. Petals dark scarlet with lighter midrib. Throat-circle light orangish. Filaments dark scarlet; anthers cream-colored contrasting to petals. Stigma green. Flowers have a vaguely spicy fragrance. Stem semicolumnar, to 3 inches (7-½ cm) across; central spines to 5/8 inch (16 mm) long. Named for Hot Lips Houlihan in the movie and TV series, Mash. ISI 98-10; HBG 81762, Schick 1257-28.
