Echinopsis 'Desdemona' Flower with a faint fragrance, to 4 inches (11 cm) across. Petals in two subequal whorls, obovate, obtuse to truncate, ruffled, deep,purplish-pink with darker midrib and rather indistinct reddish basal stripe. Throat-circle and stigma white. Filaments light pink. Stem globular, to 4 inches (9 ½ cm) in diameter; central spines to ½ inch (12 mm) long. ISI 97-8; HBG 80594, Schick 824-16. |
